I am new to the salsa thing. I enjoyed myself very much at this place. The club is very nice and swanky and I love that it is right in town. The lesson was great for a begginer like me, I definitely have the bug now. I checked some other venues before but this palce has a more welcoming feel to it. I hope this night continues. I'll be back.

I have been dancing salsa, murengue and bachata for 4 years now. Mostly on a few weekends and just with friends. I joined salsaboston.com just to see what other opportunities were available to kick up my pace of learning a bit, especially for Salsa. When I arrived, I was shy at first because I didnt know anyone, but I got over that very quickly. (It helps when people are encourgaing and smiling at you!) If you aren't too familiar with Salsa steps this is a good class to take. You learn step by step and in a slow pace. My friend didn't get it at first, but by the end of the night he was doing very well. Best of all it's only ten bucks for the lesson and then free dancing afterward until midnight. I have been to several places on latin night(s) (Vincents, mojitos, breezeway, small places in Worcester etc) and overall, felt very comfortable at Felt on Cabana Mondays. The atmosphere was very relaxing and a beautiful set up. It wasn't crowded at all and you could actually move on the dance floor! The guys were very friendly and respectful. (I danced with about 5 different people) More importantly, they were willing to help me out if I messed up on a turn or started with the wrong foot. I learned quite alot from others in just one night! No need to feel intimidated by advanced dancers, its really just about meeting some new people and having a great time doing it! I definately plan to become a regular on this night!

Salseros! Come check out this new Spot! We had a great time at the opening, and we need to put this place on the map. The place is super classy and completely redecorated from the old days, the staff is lovely and totally behind this night, and it's FREE! It's an odd sort of space with different terraces and loungy areas, yet there are lots of good dance spaces throughout with a nice wood floor and places to put drinks. Parking is $10 at the Lafayette Garage or the lot across the street, but we're working on a $3 validation discount. It's also 50 yards from the Chinatown T and 2 minutes from Washington St. Have a look in the photo gallery to see what's up! We ran the original Miami Club there many years ago, and this place is now gone full circle. A "must attend" for your Monday night. Also, the "Salsa for Gringos" lesson is taught, so send your newbie friends, or if you're a beginner/adv beginner, this is perfect for you too. Wepa!
