I went down to this place on a Sunday night, though that particular Monday was a holiday, and quite enjoyed it. I did bring my own dance partners however. Besides me, there were maybe a handful of Gringos in the joint, most of them in our party. But I certainly didn't feel out of place, which was nice. Basically I'd say that people were there to have fun and the crowd was very unjudgemental. I think anyone with that in mind would fit in similarly. It has two nicely decorated and lit rooms, one with the bar and one with the dance floor and lots of tables. The the place was full but not packed like sardines, and people danced very respectfully with very little shoving and trampling. The music level was loud though bearable. Bring earplugs if you are on the sensitive side. They played about even amounts of Merengue and Bachata, and slightly less Salsa that was great for dancing. Most of the patrons were not seasoned Salseros, but the crowd seemed to appreciate the better dancers. Occasionally some of the dancing was, shall we say, on the extreme end of risque for some. The club is located in an area know to be a little seedy, south of Providence (exit 18), and there were plenty of security people there. Guys were patted down and ladies had to open their handbags to get in. $5 cover, free parking lot across the street with security. Most of the people dancing were in their 20's and 30's I'd say, but there were people of all ages there. Drinks were pricy but generous. Not a bad night overall.
