If you're looking for a young, hip, reggaeton pick-up joint kind of place I'd recommend Club Caliente (or "Red"). The girls dress (I use that term very lightly) verrrry sexy and the guys seem to eat that up. That said, even if dressed to fit in, you're better off going with a group of friends. It's the kind of club where you'll tend to be turned down more than you'll dance. (This is coming from someone who just spent several days in DC and danced about 4 hours/night non-stop.) I was hoping that this would be a good place to dance as there are few places to go in Central MA, but I get so tired waiting for the Reggaeton to stop that I end up leaving early. The DJ plays some decent salsa/merengue/bachata at the beginning of the night, but nobody dances. It's that "cool" club feel instead of a carefree, fun atmosphere. I'd rather go to 371 (sometimes referred to as "the numbahs"), located at 371 Park Ave, Worcester. There are a handful of decent dancers, the music is always good (about 25% each of salsa/merengue/bachata/reggaeton... at least for the first couple of hours). There's plenty of room to dance salsa when they play it because not as many people know how. There are some pretty decent dancers though. If people know you can dance you'll be going all night. Good to go with friends at first until your known. Some people think it's a little rough, but I've never experienced a problem.

Club Caliente could easiliy become one of Worcesters best places for Latin night. It has a renovated interior with plenty of seating for resting between dancing. The bar is beautiful and has the Caliente logo that is glowing above giving it a good atmosphere. The music is very consistent with no odd music being played, the Dj has a good sense of what keeps the floor packed and the overall music is hott! Although the sound system needs to be tweaked a little bit I think the overall look and feel to the club can make it one of the premiere clubs to go to in Worcester. It's like a slice of Vincents in western MA. There is an enforced dress code and security is tight to make people fell safe and welcomed in this club. Cover is only $5 with ladies in free till 11pm...not a bad deal. Guys come dressed to impress.
