This club is one of the few "undiscovered" places to dance Salsa. I've been a couple times in the last month, and found the atmosphere, the people, and the music really great. The crowd is largely Latino, and the dance floor is really spacious, compared to a lot of the other dance clubs around here. It has a really authentic feel to it. Salsa is just one of many styles they play for the diverse crowd, and there are usually a lot of really great dancers. When I went, there wasn't a lack of partners and most people were pretty willing to give it a try. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced (if you accept that Boston clubs are overpriced anyways), and the dance floor is surrounded by cute little tables to sit and rest. Like Sophia's Saturdays, though, it does cater to a wide crowd and plays a lot of Meringue, Reggaeton, and other music. The music is also comparitively louder than most clubs. But if you're looking for a fun night, with an authenticly Latin crowd, and a great selection of music, then Mirage is a great place to go.
