Volunteers needed for the 5th Annual West Coast Salsa Congress on Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-30, 2004 --

Please read the following very carefully and respond as indicated at the end of this announcement.

With the exception of Decoration Volunteers, you may choose the following: work 15 hours and receive a free evening pass only; $50 to attend workshops; $20 for Guaguanco Show; after-party free. OR work 25 hours and receive a free weekend pass; $20 for Guaguanco Show; after-party free.

Registration/Workshop/Vendor/ Tent Volunteers - 15 or 25 hours of time required pre-Congress and over the course of the Congress weekend 
(various shifts). Local residents only.

Sales Volunteers - 15 or 25 hours of time required over the course of the Congress weekend (various shifts). Local residents only .

Decoration Volunteers - 16 hours of time required - must be available to work May 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 31. Hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Looking for creative assistants who can double as PA's; need experience in set design and/or set construction and have a good eye; must take initiative, be able to climb ladders, have your own tools, own car and auto insurance and be able to run errands as needed (e.g., Home Depot). Local residents only.

Media Volunteers - 15 or 25 hours of time required over the course of the Congress weekend . Local residents only .

Marketing / Sponsorship Volunteers - 15 or 25 hours of time required over the course of the Congress weekend. Local residents only .

ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A PRE-CONGRESS GENERAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, MAY 24, 2004 AT THE LA MARIOTT AIRPORT HOTEL, 5855 W. CENTURY BLVD., FROM 7:00 PM (SHARP!!!) TO APPROXIMATELY 9:00 PM.

NOTE: NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED.
