******************************************* Now Back to
our regularly Scheduled
Program *******************************************
Given that New
Year's is coming up fast (see below), I wanted to respond to some comments I get
every now and then about Sophia's, particularly to those of you MISSING
OUT!
Ever heard this conversation?
"Have you checked out
Salsa Night at Sophia's?"
"Sophia's? Oh I hate that place,
it's too crowded and they don't play much Salsa."
"Huh...??? What night did you go?"
"I think it was a
Saturday."
HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
We Salseros all know weekends are a
tough on the scene world wide because we aren't booze hounds, and let's face it,
night clubs are in the business of selling booze.
However...!
Sophia's Loves Salseros! Yes YOU!! And because of
it, over two years ago, they have been begging you all to SHOW UP there on the
off nights, which they have dedicated to Salsa! What nights are
those? Tuesdays, and of course...
Wednesday is
Salsa Night with SalsaBoston.com!
So why go there on
Wednesdays?
1) Wednesday isn't Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. It's
Wednesday. Ask anyone, Wednesday is Salsa Night at Sophia's! Yes
***SALSA*** Night! ***ALL*** SALSA NIGHT!! You're gonna hear about
3-4 Merengue's and about one Bachata ALL NIGHT.
2) We call this night "by
Salseros for Salseros", because it's true. You want Salsa? THIS IS
THE PLACE!
3) It ain't crowded! While the size of the night has
grown over the last year since we started it, there's still room to dance.
When there's no room left, we'll just open another floor. And when that
one is filled, we'll open another one. Won't that be something?
Boston's only 3 floors of Salsa! We'll have New York Style on one, floor,
LA on the next, and the Casino dancers on the third!
4) It's in the newly
renovated Champagne Lounge, with a great new dance floor!
5) Boston's
best dancers can be seen there regularly, and they will dance with you no matter
how good you are! Plus, Johnny and Kelly teach a great lesson for
beginners and intermediates, and SalsaBoston DJ's Luis Arroy, Antonio Ortiz, and
Nik Caswell spin the best Salsa in Boston!
So if you haven't been there,
we hope to see you soon!
This and every Wednesday...

An easy ½ hour from
Boston!! From East via Rt 9: --Take Rt 9 West. When you pass under Rt
95/128, you'll go 6.5 more miles till you get to exit for Rt. 27
South. --On right, just before exits for 27, you'll see a big shopping
center with a BIG Stop and Shop. For 27 South exit you'll go under Rt
27--slowly because exit is immediately on your right! --Take 27 South 8/10

Maine Update: We here at Club Night Headquarters are JOYFUL, JOYFUL to
announce that CLUB NIGHT (which is, of course, anything but SILENT) will resume
its regular schedule after the New Year.
NOT A MOUSE WILL BE
STIRRING to salsa, merengue, cha-cha-cha or bachata at the Breakaway Lounge
until then.
Now, in the new year, we will be using an "MSN Community"
(called "Salsamaine") to keep everyone up-to-date with SALSA happenings in
PORTLAND. This current email list is being DISCONTINUED.
If you haven't
already joined "Salsamaine,"
***YOU MUST
REPLY***
to this message so I can put you on the NEW LIST. Then, watch
for the "Invitation" to join "Salsamaine."
In the mean time, Olaf has
some heavy holiday party action going down in Boston. Check out salsaboston.com
for some excellent events.
And, after the holidays, we'll see ALL YE
FAITHFUL when we JINGLE our BELLS once again at the Breakaway
Lounge.
PEACE ON
EARTH,
Todd
