live Latin band - the Party Boys, DJ Zino, a Mexican movie release
party, a VIP reception with free Soli Vodka, and a live Belly dance

1. 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. -- Join us in your support at our annual fundraiser
for Children's Hospital, sponsored by runners in the Boston Marathon.
100% or the door collections ($10 requested) will be donated to
Children's Hospital. Additional proceeds from Sophia's Latin Night
Dance Class of the Future, will also be donated.

2. Join our Special edition ALL SALSA & MAMBO-SALSA CLASS, featuring:

* 9:00 - 9:35 p.m. -- Warmup, followed by an Salsa & Mambo-Salsa
                       footwork & footwork combination;

* 9:35 - 10:05 p.m. -- An especially exciting all-new Salsa combination
                        will be taught in detail;

* 10:05 - 10:20 p.m. -- An individual help session in which our 4
                         instructors will come around to help you with
                         the partnering combination.

3. 10:30 - 11:30 p.m. -- Enter or attend this 1st week of our Merengue
& Salsa Competition - OPEN TO ALL - 1st floor of Sophia's - featuring:

* All CONTESTANTS GAIN FREE ENTREE to Sophia's, & those advancing to
   our final round (to be held at Sophia's Salsathon on April 14th) will
   be eligible for CASH PRIZES -- PLEASE be sure to SIGN UP with
   Dan Y. Marshall between 10:10 - 10:30 p.m.

* There will be two styles of competition -- Merengue & Salsa:

   ** Contestants may enter either the Amateur or Pro/Am (mixed pros, &
      advance amateur dancers) divisions, in one or both of the styles;

* Contestants will be judged by our 5 judges, based on:

   ** 1. Technique (precision, flow, etc.); 2. Originality;
      3. Musicality; 4. Chemistry (partnering); 5. Style;
      & 6. Presentation & Effect on Audience.

*** Please bring a CD of the music you would like us to play when you
     compete (we will play up to 2 minutes of your song); If you don't
     provide us with music, we will play the best Merengue or Salsa tune
     we can find for you.

*** The 2nd week of this Compitition Preliminary phase will be held
     next Thursday, April 11, 2002.

4. 10:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. - An awesome VIP Reception, featuring:

* A Movie Release Party for "Y Tu Mama Tambien" -- Sound tracks, movie
