Well, I'm still recovering from another weekend of excessive dancing, not too mention the sweltering heat today (jeez!  someone make up their minds!)  But moreover, I'm preparing for this *Saturday*.  "What's this Saturday," you ask?  Well, I'd say one of the most important events we've had in a while, a first as well, with 100% of the proceeds going to the

   "Send Hacha y Machete to the LA Congress Fund!"

For the first time ever, a dance troupe from Boston has been invited to dance at an International Salsa Congress, right next to the great names we all know.  More specifically, Sammy Lopez's "Hacha Y Machete Dance Stylists" (Sammy, Burju, Lisa, Victor, and Wanda) will be performing in LA this May, LIVE in front of 3000!

Now, the organizers of the international events in the last year or so have seen the social dancers from Boston start to make their splash, and they darn well knew they better showcase our great performers as well, and real soon.  Sure enough, they did, and "Hacha" has the honors!  But now we need to support "Hacha" because for them it's no picnic.  I don't even need to tell you how many hours of rehearsal go into these performances, never mind the costs of the costumes, travel, and the time off from their day jobs.

So in support, SalsAlegre, Supershag, and SalsaBoston have teamed up to bring you a fantastic night of SALSA at a SuperShag's great new dance hall, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Hacha.

Diana McDonald is the World Professional 10 Dance Champion and the US Professional Latin Champion.  She's one of the best there is, and she's here at SuperShag Mega Dance Complex in Waltham this Friday. Diana will be teaching Chris's weekly Latin technique class at 8:15. Learning International Rumba techniques by a professional of this caliber is a warm up for the SuperShag Mega Dance Complex party, which follows after. Come to the technique class - stay for the party - $18 members, $20 non-members.  Master Class only: $15/non-members $10 members.
