Amigos de Sol y Canto:

On Saturday, July 4th at 8pm Sol y Canto will perform at one of our
favorite places, World Fellowship Center in Conway, NH. We have
performed on a nearly yearly basis for the past 12 years or so, and it
has never ceased to renew our spirits and inspiration to play for such a
unique gathering of people.  If you're unfamiliar with World Fellowship,
please consider coming for several days this summer, whether it be to
join us for our concert, or for another weekend or week of rest,
relaxation, inspiration and learning.  If you've already been , welcome
back! We're staying the whole weekend, as we always do, and look forward
to our stay in this beautiful and spiritual place, whether it be
swimming in the pond,  taking a nature walk, sharing a meal or listening
to a fascinating speaker addressing world issues together. We look
forward to seeing you.

 http://www.worldfellowship.org/

World Fellowship Center is an international, interracial, multicultural,
intergenerational vacation center offering a unique environment  to
renew body, mind and spirit. Set amid 455 acres in New Hampshire's White
Mountains, the World Fellowship Center invites people from diverse
social, intellectual and cultural backgrounds to share their vacations
and ideas in a peaceful, rustic setting.

Established in 1941, the Center has survived times when progressive
thinkers were persecuted as threatening to the established order. For 60
years the World Fellowship Center has promoted peace through
inter-religious and multi-cultural events, providing opportunities for
people of different backgrounds to meet and to discuss the issues of
today. Today the Center, a non-profit organization, continues its
tradition of offering a well-rounded experience through educational and
recreational programs, and environmental practice.

New! Latin Motion, Latin Emotion Workshop
An Integrated Awareness Workshop for Ballroom Dancers
Taught by Mark Fourman, Integrated Awareness Teacher
Sunday June 9, Noon to 6 PM at the SuperShag Mega Dance Complex

Latin dance expresses passion, sensuality and sexuality. For many of us, the motivation for learning Latin dancing is to increase our self-statement in these areas.

The basic movements of Latin motion are mechanically quite simple, and yet we often find them difficult to learn. This is because our bodies store, as muscle memory, all of our shame-based prohibitions against expressing our passion, sensuality and sexuality. When we attempt to learn Latin motion, these muscle memories are engaged, and prevent us from making the movements we desire.

Join Mark in this Integrated Awareness workshop to explore, through guided movement sequences, unlearning your muscle-memory prohibitions. Take the opportunity to increase your fluidity and self-statement in Latin dance, and in life.

FEES:

$75 for workshop only ($70 for SuperShag members)

$125 for workshop plus an individual Integrated Awareness session ($115 for SuperShag members)

TO REGISTER:

Visit appointment.bcentral.com/storefront/mfourman. Click on the Events tab to register in the workshop and on the People tab to book your individual Integrated Awareness session. (If you prefer, you can call or email Mark Fourman at (866) 926 2930 (toll free), mfourman@inawareness.com to register.)

There is a 30-person attendee limit for this session so please register by June 2nd (Sunday) to secure a place in the course.

Please note: thanks to AT&T, the toll free number was out of service for ten days. If you had previously tried to call, please do call again.
