Happy New Year to all!  I swear it was only a short time ago that we

celebrated New Year, but as the say, time flies when you're having fun.

I'd say not only did we have fun, but we got a lot done!  Some things we did

last year...

 

 - SalsaBoston's first new years party at Sophia's

 - Annual Instructor night at Sophia's

 - 2nd annual New England Salsa Competition, 18 couples competed at

about 8 nightclubs

 - Wednesday night at Sophia's grew so big that we moved from the

basement to the 2nd floor

 - 3rd of July Party at Sophia's, over 400 in attendance!

 - The float in the Puerto Rican Festival parade

 - Boston's contingents to the LA and NY Salsa Congresses

 - Miami Club, it came and went... again...

 - 2nd Annual New England Salsa Congreso, 3 days, culminating with

Puerto Rican Power concert!  Weekly volunteer brunches at HQ, yum!

 - Salsa for gringos classes began weekly, many newbies!

 - 2nd annual harbor cruise series, on Sundays this year, very popular!

 - Benefit Salsa party at the Black Rhino, packed!

 - Salsaboston's email list grows to over 3500 Salseros!

 - And of course, the 2nd anniversary party at Sophias, full house.

Note to self: next year, two floors!

 

Of course many thanks go out to all the people who have been helping out

with all this, Kelly in particular, and all the staff: Johnny, Andres,

Wanda, Regina S. (where are you?!), Steve; DJ's Nik, Antonio Ortiz, D.
