- This week!  Havana Club opens Salsa Fridays again at the Greek Club in Central Square (see mailbox.)  Should be a big party tomorrow!

- SalsaBoston's 5th Annual New England Salsa Competition begins in March.  Stay tuned.  This year there will be amateur and "semi-pro", the later of which is designed for all of you out there in the dance companies.

- Salsa Cruises are BACK!  Season 5, every Sunday this summer starting mid-June.  We are currently scheduling corporate and group reservations, so let your people know.  Season tickets will go on sale in April.  www.salsaboston.com/cruise05  July 4th tentatively will be a cruise as well.

- Latin Night Fridays with SalsaBoston at Vertigo, grand opening March 11.  Tired of going to Randolph?  Miss Sophia's?  Well, this place is for you.  An elegant club, right near Fanuiel Hall.  T accessible, and only $7 garage parking.  Email us for VIP for the grand opening!

An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's).  In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge seating.

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm.  I have eaten there, it is tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room!  Full Bar.  Please check your coat.
