An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's).  In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge seating. 

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm.  I have eaten there, it is tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke with my man Kev MacDaddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room!  Full Bar.  Please check your coat.

Dear Salseros,
Juliana and I would like to thank you all for the overwhelming support
this past Friday night. 

We had more people at Friday's party than we had at the opening, and
the quality of the party is getting better and better. Going forward, we
will have hors d'eouvres and cake every week. And I've just picked
up a digital camera, so in a week or two you can expect to start seeing

Also, we are going to make a special effort to make sure that people
taking the beginner lessons get the training and dancing they need
to have a good time and improve their skills. We know how difficult
learning salsa can be, and we will make it easier, more fun, and give
beginners more resources. More on this next week.

This week's performance is a surprise by a group making their Boston
debut with brand new material never performed until this week.
I think everyone will be as pleased as I am that this group chose to
highlight their hard work at our very own Havana Club. If you want to
