Yep, Wanda's turning one year younger!  Join us tonight to celebrate with my girl Wanda at An Tua Nua, where the party is always good and the Salsa Music is HOT!  www.salsaboston.com/antuanua  DJ Antonio Ortiz will be in the house tonight, not last week as I mistakenly said (sorry!).  Lessons at 8pm, Casino Rueda, and 9pm Salsa, as usual.  Great food available until 11.

Also, Latin Fridays at Vertigo continues to be sizzling every week!  Only $5 before 11pm if you rsvp on the website.  Check out the photo gallery too!  Budweiser promotions continue as well.  www.salsaboston.com/vertigo

Finally, mark your calendar: Friday, May 20, DJ Hernan presents the "Salsa Gala" at the beautiful Springstep dance center (Medford Square), featuring the "Boston Latin Band".  See mailbag for details.   Springstep is of course the site of this year's 5th Annual Boston Salsa Congress (TM), coming at you this September.

Lastly, start making your plans for the  LA Congress!  End of May... latest update in the mailbag.

See you tonight at An Tua Nua!

An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's).  In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge seating.

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm.  I have eaten there, it is tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke with my man Kev MacDaddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room!  Full Bar.  Please check your coat.
