An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on
Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from
Sophia's). In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the
upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a
bar, and plenty of lounge seating.
Close to the green line (St.
Mary's on the C train), plenty of street and lot
parking.
Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten
there, it is tasty and modestly priced.
Note: they have Karaoke with my
man Kev MacDaddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let
that scare you... Salsa is in the back room! Full Bar. Please check
your coat.

As a trained track athelete, professional African and jazz
drummer, and lifelong dancer (many styles), I focus on the one essential and
three required elements to keeping salsa for life. The one essential is
having fun. I teach with a lot of fun and laughter. We can always be
serious - sometimes a little humor goes a long way. The three required
elements are: programming the muscles to handle the basic movements;
establishing the relationship between the movement and the music; and addressing
the finer points of styling, partnering, footwork, and patterns. I have
taught thousands to dance salsa. I enjoy every minute of
it!
Teaching on the Northshore: Mondays (8:30-9:30 PM Beginners) -
Susan Woods Dancenter of Stoneham Tuesdays (7:15 PM Beginners, 8:15 PM
Intermediate) - Yoga for Health, Gloucester Thursdays (7:30-8:30 PM Beginngers)
- Manchester Athletic Club, Manchester Fridays (7:00-8:30 PM Beginners) -
Marblehead Privates and Events Scheduled in Advanced by
Appointment.
Thanks for your help and

Info: Festival Latino of the
Berkshires 2005 Decade Anniversary Lee, Massachusetts
We are
pleased to announce Festival Latino of the Berkshires’s 10th anniversary
celebration on October 1, 2005, at the park on Main Street in Lee! This
year we are honored to present the most renowned dancers and musicians we’ve
showcased through the years. This festive day begins with our
participation in the Founder’s Day Parade followed by an afternoon filled with
free folkloric entertainment and an evening of Latin dancing. In the past
we have featured groups like “Estampas y Tradiciones” (Images and Traditions),
considered one of New York’s finest Mexican dance groups who perform stunning
indigenous dances in colorful costumes.
The purpose of the Festival is to
expose Berkshire residents to the artistic traditions of Latin culture through
music, dance, and ethnic food. This cultural event, held during Founder’s Day
Weekend, allows Latinos to take pride in their heritage and educates people
whose families have lived here for generations about the vibrant diversity of
our changing community. With hundreds of participants annually, we have been
very successful drawing families and individuals of all ages from throughout
Berkshire County.
The Festival Latino Committee is looking individuals
who would like to sell ethnic dishes or crafts from Latin America at the
Festival as well as Latin-American artists who would be interested in
performing. We are also looking for individuals who would like to serve on the
planning committee of the Festival you should contact coordinators Liliana
Bermúdez. at 413-243-3961 or Ruth Boorady-Bloom at 413-637-4886; website is
www.festivallatino.org. Thank you Liliana
