Hi
all!
Tonight (Thur.) at Ryles, you will be able to register for the
Boston Salsa Congress for a discounted $150 (instead of $180, the current
price--save $30), so bring your checkbook! (You must register and pay
tonight to get the discount.)
----
Many of you are still mourning
the closing of Sophia's last winter, but there's good news! Opening this
weekend is a new club in Downtown Crossing called "Mojitos", similar in style to
Sophia's with an even nicer look. It will be an all latin themed
establishment and has two floors. It's about 50 steps from Park Street
Station on the Green Line, and they have $7 validated parking
nearby.
Grand opening celebrations are this weekend (Fri/Sat). RSVP
for free admission!
www.salsaboston.com/mojitos For the time being, they are also featuring
Salsa on Saturdays until midnight.
Anyway, should be a happening spot, so
check it out this weekend! (Come early to avoid a line...)
NOTE!!
We will be opening Salsa Sundays upstairs at Mojitos tentatively on Sept. 25
(after the cruises end and the Congress). Stay
tuned!!
----
And of course Salsa Harbor Cruise #8 this
Sunday! www.salsaboston.com/cruise
See you on the dance
floor!

An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on
Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from
Sophia's). In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the
upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a
bar, and plenty of lounge seating.
Close to the green line (St.
Mary's on the C train), plenty of street and lot
parking.
Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten
there, it is tasty and modestly priced.
Note: they have Karaoke with my
man Kev MacDaddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let
that scare you... Salsa is in the back room! Full Bar. Please check
your coat.
