Saturdays, starting in January, it's 95% certain now: we will be opening Salsa Saturdays downtown (fin. district near the new Rose Kennedy Park) at a great new spot.  Two big levels with new wood, classy renovations, $6 garage parking in a modern office building across the street, dining, and much more.  We will have a huge grand opening party.  More details forthcoming (the location is still secret!), but get excited because this is going to be 'da new spot!

We got so much great feedback from last month's Gala at the Hyatt that we went right ahead and booked another night.  This time we will feature a performance show with some of finest acts, and also we expect this party to have a whole new flavor with the JetSet Events crowd coming in to party with all the regular Salseros!  It will be a good night to meet some new friends. 

Also, there will be a free "Salsa for Gringos" lesson at 9pm.  If you feel like you've got two left feet, this lesson is for you.

Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at the door, and *valid, unexpired* college ID or under 18 saves you $5.  Tickets are available now online.

An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's).  In the back they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge seating. 

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway on the D, Kenmore on the B), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm.  I have eaten there regularly, it is very tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke with my man Kev-Mac Daddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room!  Full Bar.  Please check your coat.
