Sox
are away tonight, so Salsa Night at An Tua Nua will be hopping for sure!
Tonight is a bittersweet night because we're saying farewell to one of our
favorite Casino Rueda instructor, Katie Seamans, who is heading to the great
mecca of Dallas, Texas. Stop in tonight to wish her well, and maybe we can
get a two-stepper in to show her a few promenades... Sorry Katie, when
they talk about two-stepping down there, they're not talking about "on 2"!
All the best, my dearest!
Anyway, Salsa tonight (Wednesday) at An Tua
Nua. Come early to chow down on some of ATN's awesome eats, and then dance
some Salsa 'til 1am! http://salsaboston.com/antuanua Salsa
and Casino Rueda Lessons at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm, more details below or call

Waterfire Salsa Night this Saturday! One of the
highlights of the year. If you've never been to Waterfire in Providence, it's an
amazing festival that happens each weekend and consists of rows of bonfires in
the canals, mood music, and a relaxing romantic atmosphere. Then, on
special nights, there is the Sovereign Plaza Outdoor Ballroom, featuring this
weekend of course, SALSA! Lesson, live band, dancing, DJ, beer and wine
(yes, in RI you can actually walk around on the street carrying a brauwsky), and
overall a great atmosphere. Usually there are 5000+ people coming there,
and of course a lot of salseros are dancing all night. All FREE. See
you there! http://www.waterfire.org/schedule/ballroom06.html

the lesson. Corporate parties welcome. Talk to your HR people

An Tua Nua is a great
contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore
Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's). In the back they have a dance
club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor
that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge
seating.
Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway
on the D, Kenmore on the B), plenty of street and lot
parking.
Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten
there regularly, it is very tasty and modestly priced.
Note: they have
Karaoke with my man Kev-Mac Daddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk
in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room! Full
Bar. Please check your coat.

Saturday, August 19, 2006, 1:00 PM
20060819T170000Z Where: (A location for this event
hasn't been chosen yet) Description:
We'll be Salsa
Dancing in the park for the August meetup! Brink some food to share with others,
a water bottle, and energy! Invite your friends! We'll provide the
music.
The main purpose of this meetup is to get to
meet other salsaholics in an open area. Sometimes it gets tough to talk to
others in the clubs, so why not do it outdoors while getting your salsa fix in
on none other than a Saturday?!
The date is Saturday,
August 19th, 1-5pm.
Meanwhile, we need your help on
choosing a park! We're looking for a park with a nice area for dancing (a
somewhat smooth concrete floor) that is t-accessible.
Please post any suggestions in the discussion board!
Hope to see you there!
