Well...!
What a season we had at the Cruises! I think over 4000 people joined us
this summer, for what was truly an enjoyable experience as an event
organizer. Thanks everyone! We'll see you on the harbor next
June.
Lots of notes this week. Read on.

SALSA
GALA! A week from Saturday at the Hyatt is the next rendition of Miami
Club "Special Edition", what our periodic events on Sat's are now going to be
called. (For those interested in Salsa trivia, that's the name of a place
about 8 years ago that we started using for various Sat. events when it closed,
and I'm from Miami as it is...) Anyway, get your tickets! EVERYONE
is going to be there, including all kinds of non-salsa folk! The response
to our promotions has been terrific. Meet some new people for sure!
Also, we are expanding the dance floor!
SERIOUSLY: If you're
coming, (and you know you are...!) please buy your ticket now so we can plan
accordingly. This is going to be a big event and we want to make sure we
can maximize your enjoyment. http://salsaboston.com/miamiclub
Thanks
to gobs of promotional support from: JJ Productions, Avive Productions,
Javier Arroyo, MIT Salsa Club, JetSet Events, Rico's List, James Mitchell
Parties, Hey Lets Go, Masacote, Meetup.com Salsa Group, Sven's events, Thamar
Bosse, etc. etc. etc.!

More Salsa
Shakeup!
DJ Antonio Ortiz asked me to let everyone know that he and
his team will no longer be at Mangos on Saturdays. Evidently management is
moving toward a slightly more "urban" format, to draw people from the
Roxy.
New SalsaBoston Parties! Sundays: We will be opening at An Tua
Nua for Sundays in addition to Wednesdays! Date TBA in
October.
Mondays: Salsa downtown at Felt! A casual night. It
will be opening tentatively on October 9.
Saturdays... stay
tuned! We're getting close.

See you on the dance
floor! -Olaf

An Tua Nua is a great
contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore
Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's). In the back they have a dance
club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a sizable dance floor
that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge
seating.
Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway
on the D, Kenmore on the B), plenty of street and lot
parking.
Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten
there regularly, it is very tasty and modestly priced.
Note: they have
Karaoke with my man Kev-Mac Daddy in the front portion of the bar when you walk
in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back room! Full
Bar. Please check your coat.
