An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just
outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's). In the back
they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a
sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway on the D, Kenmore
on the B), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten there regularly, it
is very tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke with my man Kev-Mac Daddy in the front portion of the
bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back
room! Full Bar. Please check your coat.

Final 2008 Sunset Cruise Sets Sail in September Sunset Salsa Latin Dance
Cruise FRIDAY September 5th

On Friday, September 5th, by popular demand, Vanessa Galvanek of Atlantis
Productions will once again serve as organizer, promoter, host, head chef,
caterer and emcee of another fun-filled Sunset Salsa Cruise after a 2-year
absence from the river. Up until the Summer of 2006, Vanessa and boat owner,
George Charros, had come together to bring 3-4 dance cruises together for
locals and tourists alike for over ten years featuring predominantly Reggae
bands with the occasional R&B and Salsa event thrown in. The now famous 3-
hour dinner/dance cruise will feature Greg Coles of “Greg Coles Dance & Drum”
providing fabulous music to practice your salsa, bachata, merengue, samba, and
cumbia. He will also provide a group lesson during the cruise.

Greg Coles offers Salsa/Latin Dance lessons for beginners and intermediates in
several North Shore locations including every Tuesday evening at The Grog
Restaurant, (downstairs) in Newburyport, and Rockafella’s Restaurant in Salem
on Wednesday nights. For locations/times: gregorycoles@aol.com phone: 617-620-

will take place on the almost brand new, spacious, Captain's Lady III charter
boat, which will leave the dock at Captain’s Fishing Parties at the mouth of
the Merrimack River and travel out into the Atlantic and up the Merrimack
River as well.

Guests will enjoy a wonderful of music and dancing featuring a dinner buffet
of gourmet Italian cold cuts, grilled marinated chicken kabobs w/ saffron
rice, salsa, homemade guacamole & chips, roasted red peppers w/fresh basil,
garlic & olive oil, Balsamic green bean salad, red bliss potato salad

with raw vegetables, homemade tzatziki w/ pita bread, mixed spring green salad
w/radicchio, tomatoes & cucumbers, a dessert of fresh pineapple, honeydew,

priced cash bar.

As always, a portion of the proceeds of every profitable cruise is donated to
a local charity. This particular cruise’s donation will go to Pettengill
House. The Pettengill House Food Pantry provides staple food and personal care
products to individuals, children, and families in need. Over the past year
the food pantry provided 9,800 meals. This total represents a 9% increase of
8,712 meals from FY 2006. (www.pettengillhouse.org)

CEO, Boston Music Conference
(617) 834-0552
BOSTON, MA – The first annual Boston Music Conference (BMC) will be held this
September 26 and 27, and is the first major initiative in a series of events
that will promote Boston within the music industry and offer the city’s
aspiring talent a chance to meet some of the industry’s top executives and
celebrities. This year’s conference will include workshops, various
networking and educational opportunities and exclusive music industry events.
The mission of the Boston Music Conference is to educate and empower the
region’s youth and provide them with the information and tools necessary to
pursue a career in music. One of the topics to be discussed in the conference
this year is Latin music, an emerging genre that is crossing over into

Boston has long been known as a source of major talent and is home to arguably
the top educational institution for music. However, due to a lack of
resources and opportunities within the city for students who are unable to
attend college, many aspiring artists are forced to leave Boston to pursue
their dreams in other cities. With the Boston Music Conference, more options
will be available to the city’s youth in Boston.

The Boston Music Conference is sponsored and supported by many organizations
within the city as well as nationally, including Berklee College of Music,
MySpace, BMI, MTV3 and all of the major labels including but not limited to
Sony BMG, Interscope Records, Mo Town, Def Jam and Universal. In conjunction
with ROCA, a non profit organization, (www.rocainc.org) the BMC will be
offering 25 scholarships to attend to youths who demonstrate a serious
interest in pursuing a career in music but would not be able to attend.

In order to attend the Boston Music Conference, registration online at
www.bostonmusicconference.com is required along with a registration fee of $99
for a limited time. Prices will increase closer to the time of the event and
capacity is limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bio and
promotional kit to the event as this is a rare opportunity to meet top music
industry executives. Aspiring artists who would like their music to be
considered for a commemorative CD to be distributed at the event can send a
sample of their work to info@bostonmusicconference.com. Workshops for the
event will be held Friday September 26, from 12 to 5 followed by Showcase
Performances at Mojitos at 48 Winter Street in Downtown Crossing. The
conference will be held at the Roxy Tremont Ballroom at 272 Tremont Street in
the Theatre District, Saturday September 27 from 12 to 6.

The goal of the Boston Music Conference (BMC) is to educate and empower the
city’s aspiring talent who are interested in pursuing a career in music by
bringing the resources and information to them in Boston. The BMC is the
first part of an organized long term initiative to bring national attention to
Boston as a source of major talent within the music industry and develop local
