An Tua Nua is a great contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just
outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's). In the back
they have a dance club about the same size as the upstairs at Sophia's, with a
sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge
seating.

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway on the D, Kenmore
on the B), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten there regularly, it
is very tasty and modestly priced.

Note: they have Karaoke with my man Kev-Mac Daddy in the front portion of the
bar when you walk in, but don't let that scare you... Salsa is in the back
room! Full Bar. Please check your coat.

Sunday October 5, 2008
an EXTRAORDINARY experience will take place in Providence, RI - EXCLUSIVELY at
Jeannie Oki's Strictly Salsa Lot 401 - where multitudes of young and older,
alike, will discover the truth and the roots behind the umbrella term "Salsa,"
and its affects on the generations of musicians and dancers that have followed
since its conception. Come watch the Providence movie premiere of "La Epoca -
The Palladium Era" and meet, up close and personal, the producers of the film!

"La Epoca," a feature-length documentary-film, is about the evolution of Latin
music and dance from the Palladium-era (1948-1970) to present day. The film
covers in-depth detail regarding the controversy over dancing "on 1" versus
dancing "on 2," Mambo versus Salsa, and the film focuses heavily on the
controversy over the umbrella term "Salsa" and its affects on the musicians
and dancers since the conception of the word's use to describe Latin music.
Come and bring your family. The film is in English and with English-subtitles
for those who interviewed in Spanish.
