SalsaBoston Presents...

Club Caribé Grand Opening!

Thursday, January 29
at the Courtyard Marriott/Cambridge
777 Memorial Drive
overlooking the Charles River
(adjacent to the MicroCenter and Trader Joe's)
ALL AGES WELCOME

Congratulations to Gabriela De Leon who wins the $100 SalsaBoston gift certificate for choosing the winning name!

Admission to the grand opening is FREE!

We are super excited about this new night in a new location. The hotel used to be the Radisson and a club called "Dionysus" was in the space, but the hotel was sold and they have totally renovated the space into a very classy & elegant bar/lounge overlooking the Charles River. It's on the second floor with huge windows. Some years ago we looked at this space but we weren't able to close a deal with the old management. That was then... This time they called us!

The Courtyard Marriott has a free parking garage and lot, there will be free appetizers provided (cash bar), and the dancing will be hot, provided of course by DJ's Hernan, D. Martinez, and others.

Beginner "Salsa for Gringos" Lesson at 8:30pm on the opening night, by popular demand. In future weeks we will have lessons taught by one of the local dance companies. Stay tuned to find out which one!

Flyers and more will be out by this weekend, so look for them! There will also be an RSVP for priority admission. If we anticipate an overflow crowd, the good news is there is another ballroom on the 3rd floor, and of course the hotel lobby (which is where the entrance to the club is) will be open.

Hotel Rooms: $109 Special Rate
The Courtyard Marriott has created a special rate for rooms for those coming from out of town and wishing to make a full night of it.

Stay tuned for a special email with more details.

Havana Club Fridays is back, with a special performance this week! Plus "Cinco Son" live on Saturday at JHCC

That's right, Havana Club Fridays on Green Street/Central Square is back in full swing, now with expanded capacity. There will also be a special Afro-Cuban performance (and workshop on Sat.)

Of course Havana Saturdays at the Jorge Hernandez Center in the South End is a hopping party every week with tons of people there, occasional live bands ("Cinco Son" this week), and tons of fun dancing. Scroll down for details on all these items.

NORTH SHORE: Latin/Salsa Saturdays on the Lynnway at Cafe Tropicana

Are you up in the Revere/Lynn/Marblehead/Cape Anne area? Check out this place in Lynn that's starting up. There will be lots of Colombian Salsa influence, and expect to see lessons with SalsaBoston offered there as well. Details in the mailbag.

Have a great weekend and see you on the dance floor!

Close to the green line (St. Mary's on the C train, Fenway on the D, Kenmore on the B), plenty of street and lot parking.

Irish/America/Bar food available until 10pm. I have eaten there regularly, it is very tasty and modestly priced.
