: This message is to the poor lady who left Sophia's in tears earlier this month, after having had a bad salsa experience....I have had trouble with the space issues at Sophia's as well, and since I don't like to be stepped on or pushed around - I don't go on wednesdays as well. I understand from a lot of my salsa friends, this place can be a lot of fun - but I usually cannot handle tight crowds, and I just don't put myself throught that. However, check out the BCCA on Saturdays for Lessons and Dancing - there is plenty of Space and room - you can move around - and I have never been stepped on there, nor have I ever been treated rudely. Ryles on Thursday is awesome as well for the same reasons. I don't put myself through being pushed around or made to feel uncomfortable - but your experienced of being pushed out of the way in a line has happened to me more than once and at more than one place. I never know what to do - but I am not inclined to push back. I usually mentally note the individual as a fool, and since I consider people like that rude, I do my very best to never dance with them ever. If you treat me badly, I rarely say anything at all - I will simply never dance with you. Kudos to your husband who took care of the situation. Check out the BCCA - I have never had a bad night there - and Johny and Kelly will start teaching a Saturday night there - so you can get their lesson as well - without the crowds. I had a lovely but quiet night there last night, and was very impressed with Johny and Kelly.
