: Is it worth it? Any positive experiences? Any negative experiences?

If you are looking for someone, salsa is a great way to meet people and *really* get to know them in a short period of time.

There are, of course, caveats. You have to do a gut check and be honest with yourself about how well you handle relationships that don't work out because most don't. Can you be friends afterward? Also, are you ready? There are people who are negative and/or at difficult places in their lives. And it's hard to start and build a successful relationship if you have internal issues.

There are good dancers; there are bad dancers. And there are good people and bad people. And, yes, there are good dancers who are good people. IMO, staying positive, being honest and realistic, and being a good judge of character are the keys.
