Hi, thanks for the reply, but I am talking about one-on-one casino, not rueda. I am looking for people who dance Cuban style salsa (aka "casino"). I doubt they exist, but I thought I would try.

P.S. I have been to the rueda class at Sophia's. I liked it, but I would like it even more if they actually played contemporary Cuban salsa to go with it. ;)

: : Hi, I just moved to Boston and am looking for places where I can hear Cuban salsa/timba (Los Van Van, Charanga Habanera, NG La Banda) and dance casino. Does such a place exist? Gracias.

: Dancing for certain is Wednesday nights, lessons at 8-9, and then dancing from 10-2. There aren't *a lot* of Casino Rueda dancers in Boston, which is kind of necessary in order to have some decent fun doing it, but the reason we added CR to the lineup on Wednesdays is exactly for that purpose. Lessons are fairly well attended now, about 6 months after we started it but there's still not a lot of dancing in the club. Sooner or later...!

: Haven't tried it? It's a hoot!

: Also, MIT Casino Rueda Group and JAM'NASTICS are the two groups in Boston that teach/promote the dance the most and periodically host special events which include it.
