Well, the "latin-styled" part was more just the reputation. It did have a nice "lofty" look though, which gave it some elegance. But, it is gone. We can put it out of our minds....

We wanted a place nearby, with parking, good size and layout, and willing to work with us with no hassles, mistrust, and whatnot. It is all that actually, better than Sophia's. If there is some other place you particularly like, let me know. Landsdowne is interested, but it's a real headache.

I had actually found this place about 5 years ago, when they filmed the "Blue Diner" movie there.

We can get a sign certainly. I don't know about using the side entrance, but I'll look into it. People will get used to it though. We've been there 3 weeks now, and had 3 great nights. That's pretty amazing, especially on such short notice.

Yeah. They want them closed so that the Salsa and Karaoke don't interfere. But right next to it is the open kitchen hallway, so I don't know what difference it makes.

That is determined by the licensing boards. Unfortunately they only have until 1am on Wednesdays.

The main reason is we don't want coats all over the place, which always happens, even at Ryles. The get stolen, stepped on, switched.

This IS going to happen. They have already promised. We will also have something done to clean up the overall look of the place, particularly the ceilings. And the mood lighting, as you said.
Anyway, if you were at Sophia's when we started years ago, we're not doing bad. We had ZERO notice, and we already have plans. The management loves us already. Give it just a little bit of time, and it'll be the best dance spot in Boston, I assure you!
