Sunday was great at the Wepa salsa social. The turnout was good and there were lots of new people... the space is like 500 times better than the VFW with perfect hardwood floors, big windows and there are a few tables and chairs at one end. It was nice to see so many Salsa Hot Shots together in one place and none of the beginners were shy about dancing either. A very comfortable and fun dance atmosphere.

It was like a smaller scale version of the Jimmy Anton social in New York complete with free chips and salsa, cookies and water and juice for a dollar. No one seemed to mind the abscence of alcohol... this has to be the cheapest night out since you only have to pay five dollars if you're new or bring a new person.

My feeling is that it can only get better as more people hear about it and next time April will be there... the only thing that was missing from a great night.
