Merida Castillo passed on Wednesday March 8, 2006. There will be a gathering and a viewing from 8 AM to 12 AM, Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the
Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St, Jamaica Plain, MA. This is near the Forest Hills MBTA station.

Merida was born in Havana and lived in the New England area for many years where she was well known as a singer, bandleader, and promoter. She led an
effort over more than 30 years to keep Cuban culture alive in Boston.
