Performance groups

I can't vent on my city's salsa page, so I have to use yours.

I am so freaking tired of salsa performance groups. Why do they always have to perform in the middle of the party or social? I work hard for my money and being able to go out and dance is like a mini vacation. Why do I have to watch someone else dance for 45 minutes? It's like the groups are dance cliques or gangs-each one laying claim to turf in the club. Why?

That's not the only thing annoying me. Why is one in three dancers professionals hawking services? What's that all about. Can't we just dance? Not everyone wants to learn to spin 15 times or know a 879 count shine. When did that become the standard? We're not on Dancing With the Stars?

Everything now is about money. What happened to people just dancing.

Wow I feel a lot better.
