Hi :-)

I'm a pro dance in structor. we used to wet our shoes to get better grip on the floor when we perform dance routines and shows. It doesn't mean your shoes are done when they get wet. you have to let them dry-out completely before you use them again. then use steel brush to clean and re-set the soles, and they will be okay. ( but... they will never be as pretty as new.) if you want to save $. don't re-sole until they fall apart. Good luck.
