I went to check it out, though on a schedule (bad idea), and unfortunately the band didn't go on until after I had to leave. Apparently they "hit traffic" (read "got lost"). So I didn't get to see the feature act.

The place is actually an old McDonald's, and in many ways still is exactly that. The ticket window for example is in the take-out window. LOL!

Anyway, officially it's a restaurant and the kitchen is still in the back, with a Colombian menu. The bar is where one would place orders, and there are a lot of tables jammed in, a DJ booth, a stage, and a dance floor. Capacity is probably 150 or so. Most everything is painted black for the nightclub, but they have a lot of dance floor lighting. The dance floor probably would be jammed with 50 people on it. Parking is free, behind the building.

The core of the scene I believe is Colombian, so what that means is some good Salsa music mixed in to a variety of other stuff.

Bottom line, it's not a big place, but if you want Salsa in Lynn, you'll find some there.

SalsaBoston will be reaching lessons there on Saturdays, starting Feb. 28, with Roberto. $10 for the lesson, no cover.
