private lessons?

Hi,
I'm a complete beginner to latin dancing and any other form of formal dancing for that matter. I would love to learn merengue or salsa. I see that there are opportunities for beginner classes but I'm not quite comfortable to take the leap in a group yet and was wondering I a few private lessons would help get my feet wet! What do you guys think?

I could not find any information on private instruction classes on the site. Can you provide any pointers?
