It seems that this debate/discussion has been going on for years in the city of Boston.
Unfortunately, the latin radio stations in Boston don't care very much about bringing Salsa acts to Boston like: Victor Manuelle, Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Grupo Niche, Oscar de Leon, El Gran Combo, etc...
Their programming revolves mainly around Reggaeton, Bachata, with a bit of merengue and lastly, salsa.
They cannot be depended on to play good salsa, let alone any salsa.
If you want to watch good salsa performers, you must pay good money to acquire these bands. $25 per person is a joke, people pay up to 6 to 10 times that amount to watch other performers such as: Beyonce, Eminem, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Lady Gaga, etc...
Promoters and sponsors will foot a certain amount, but people have to realize that $25 per person is an insult to any of the salsa groups I mentioned above.
