Salsa Wednesdays is Moving!
SalsaBoston is pleased to announce that Salsa Wednesdays
is moving to Sagra Restaurant in Davis Square, starting Wednesday,
May 6!
After some four years at An Tua Nua, SalsaBoston and the
ATN management amicably agreed we needed a new home, something
elegant, without Red Sox parking hassles, and more in tune
with the needs of Salsero patrons. We'd like to extend our
thanks to Joey and Kevin and the ATN Staff for hosting us
for so long and a lot of fun times.
May 6 and May 13 will be "preview nights" at Sagra,
followed by our official opening celebration on May 20. We
will be featuring beginner and intermediate Salsa lessons
with Salsa Y Control/Johnny & Kelly at 9pm as usual, followed
by Salsa and Latin dancing by DJ's Hernan, D. Martinez and
guests. Note that the lessons and music will start in a timely
manner.

Thereafter Salsa Wednesdays will be open
as usual (for our 9th year running)
What's a "Preview Night," you ask? Before our
official grand opening celebration on May 20, we're hosting
two of these, during which we're going to be figuring
out the place--stuff like dialing in the lighting,
sound system, traffic flow in the club, figuring out which
drinks are the best, and so on. Oh yes, it'll be a full
fledged Salsa party, but we're asking our loyal patrons
to bear with us as we work the kinks out! RSVP

Unfortunately there is presently no space available from
7-9 pm for MetaMovements to offer their personalized salsa
& rueda lessons...but we there are plans in the works
to re-incorporate those lessons later this summer. Read
on.
Sagra Restaurant is an upscale Italian place, elegantly
decorated with a nice bar, comfortable booths, great lighting
and atmosphere, and a fantastic location.

- free municipal lot parking (big lot across the street
and ample others peppered around the area)
- a clubby feel with lighting, DJ booth & sound
- video (we'll be showing dance videos and photos as we
did occasionally years ago)

The space is moderate in size at present, and we're even
more excited that later this summer Sagra will be building
out its upstairs space into an upscale 2000+sf dance hall,
ideal for Salseros and a Boston _rarity_! We'll have a stage
as well, so we look forward to hosting live music periodically.
