Yep, that's basically it. Also, a latin night has a lot more drinking going on, vs. an elevated level of dancing at a Salsa night. Both cater to different purposes, though are equally as much fun in my opinion.

: 1) A Latin night has more of a mix of music - say 1/3 or more merengue, 1/3 bachata, 1/4 salsa, a little reggaeton and other - whereas a salsa night is typically 70% salsa, with the balance merengue, bachata, cha cha.

: 2) A Latin night usually has a much smaller dancefloor and the night is less about dancing than about being in a Latin club. A salsa night usually has enough room for lots of salsa dancing.
