An Tua Nua is a cozy contemporary Irish bar & grill on Beacon Street just outside of Kenmore Square (only about 3 blocks from Sophia's). In the back they have a dance club with a sizable dance floor that holds about 150 people, a bar, and plenty of lounge seating. Irish/America/Bar food available. The food and service is excellent and modestly priced. Entree's are $7-$14. Kitchen is open until 10pm.

Note: When you walk in they have Karaoke with my man "Kev Mac Daddy" in the front portion of the bar, but don' t let that scare you...! Salsa is in the club in the back.

Coat check is available.

Directions:

From Storrow Drive: take the Kenmore Square exit, and take Beacon St. outbound from Kenmore Square (look for the Citco sign). At the Kenmore Square intersection, Beacon St. is the middle of three forks, with Uno's Pizza on the left and Citizen's Bank on the right. Go over the bridge and An Tua Nua is on the left, opposite of PJ Kilroy's and Audobon.

By MBTA (3 easy options): Take the green line to St. Mary's St. on the C train (one stop after Kenmore), and walk back 2 blocks down Brookline Ave. An Tua Nua is on the right, opposite of PJ Kilroy's and Audobon.

Or take the D train to Fenway, walk down the hill to Beacon St, turn right, and An Tua Nua is one and a half blocks down on the right, opposite of PJ Kilroy's and Audobon.

Or take the green line B, C, or D train to Kenmore Square, walk up Beacon St. over the Mass Pike, and An Tua Nua is on the far side of the bridge on the left, opposite of PJ Kilroy's and Audubon Circle restaurant.

Parking: there are several lots next to An Tua Nua. The lot adjacent is for Children's Hospital and the attendants will let you park there or direct you to a spot. Just tell them you're going to get a drink.

TOW WARNING: DO NOT PARK IN THE ALLEY ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BUILDINGS OR BEHIND. They will tow you immediately. Please don't do it.
